Abstract:
We report on 3 consecutive patients who suffered significant aortic leaflet injury during minimally invasive mitral valve reconstruction procedures and who subsequently underwent reoperation in our institution. In all cases, aortic valves were preserved, and the perforated leaflets were repaired using autologous pericardial patches.
