Peritoneal inflammation precedes encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis: results from the GLOBAL Fluid Study

Patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD) who develop encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS) show higher levels of inflammatory cytokines in their peritoneal fluid. This suggests increased peritoneal inflammation may precede EPS development.
