The ratio of Pleotrophin (PTN) to thyroglobulin (Tg) in fine-needle aspiration samples is significantly higher in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) than in benign nodules. This PTN/Tg ratio may aid in diagnosing thyroid nodules.
