Summary

Floating lateral mass (FLM) fractures are high-energy injuries often involving two motion segments, frequently causing vertebral artery injuries and neurological deficits. Two-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) or Posterior Spinal Instrumented Fusion are effective treatments.
