Disease-Induced Neuroinflammation and Depression

Major depression and medical conditions like stroke, chronic pain, diabetes, and HIV share common neuroinflammatory pathways. These conditions disrupt the blood-brain barrier, increasing inflammation and potentially leading to depression.
