[Evaluation of the relationships between abrasion and surface alterations after professional tooth cleaning]

The effects of mechanical plaque removal on the enamel are compared in vitro by quantifying roughness and abrasion. The abrasion values after cleaning with ultrasound devices, polishing paste and abrasive blast units correlate with the roughness values measured.
