    Summary

    Hydatidosis, a rare cause of vertebral compromise, can present as low back pain and neurological deficits. Early diagnosis and surgical intervention are crucial for managing this echinococcus granulosus infection.

    • A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of vertebral hydatidosis.

    • Vertebral hydatidosis requires a multidisciplinary treatment approach involving orthopedic and surgical management.
    • The condition is associated with a high recurrence rate, ranging from 30% to 40%.
