GIT1/βPIX signaling proteins and PAK1 kinase regulate microtubule nucleation

Scientists discovered new regulators of microtubule nucleation. G protein-coupled receptor kinase-interacting protein 1 (GIT1) and p21 protein (Cdc42/Rac)-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) promote nucleation, while p21-activated kinase interacting exchange factor (βPIX) inhibits it.
