Cardio-protection afforded by β-blockade is maintained during resistance exercise

Beta-blockers maintain cardio-protection during resistance exercise, with enhanced benefits at higher heart rates. This study evaluated atenolol and propranolol effects on cardiorespiratory responses during isometric handgrip and leg exercises.
