Summary

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed no specific surface characteristics for interstitial cystitis (IC). While IC bladders showed varied cell shapes and microvilli, these SEM findings were not unique to the condition.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the SEM characteristics of bladder biopsies in patients with interstitial cystitis.
