The formation of teeth, also known as odontogenesis, is a complex process that begins in utero, around the sixth week of embryonic development. There are three stages to this process: the bud stage, the cap stage, and the bell stage.

  • To investigate morphologic changes in edentulous patients after CRDP rehabilitation.
  • To assess the utility of anthropometric indices in evaluating facial changes.
  • To correlate these changes with the re-establishment of jaw relationships.

  • Photographs of 31 edentulous patients were analyzed before and after CRDP insertion.
  • 2232 anthropometric distances were measured.
  • 18 anthropometric indices related to perioral morphology and facial harmony were investigated.
