Treating Life-Threatening Myocarditis by Blocking Interleukin-1

Anakinra, an interleukin-1 receptor blocker, shows promise in treating fulminant myocarditis. This novel approach improved cardiac function in a patient with severe biventricular failure and cardiogenic shock.
