Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) effectively inhibits and disrupts Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) biofilms. This action allows antibiotics to penetrate, potentially converting MRSA strains back to Methicillin-sensitive S. aureus (MSSA).
