Behavioural activation system sensitivity is associated with cerebral μ-opioid receptor availability

Individual differences in reward seeking behavior are linked to the brain's opioid system. Higher sensitivity in the behavioral activation system (BAS) correlates with greater mu-opioid receptor availability, particularly in brain regions associated with reward.
