[RESEARCH PROGRESS IN TREATMENT OF STERNOCLAVICULAR JOINT DISLOCATION]
Objective:
To summarize the research progress in the surgical treatment of sternoclavicular joint dislocation.
Methods:
The literature on the treatment of sternoclavicular joint dislocation was reviewed, summarized, and analyzed.
Results:
At present, the main therapy of sternoclavicular joint dislocation is operation, including the sternoclavicular joint reconstruction, the inner end of the clavicle resection, and internal fixation of the sternoclavicular joint. The internal fixation surgery is the preferred way, which is reliable fixation and in favor of early functional exercise.
Conclusion:
It is the current focus of attention to select a reliable fixation that is accord with sternoclavicular joint anatomy and biomechanics.

Fractures: Bone Repair
Minor fractures with no bone displacement are treated by immobilizing the fractured bone using a cast or splint. However, in the case of fractures with displaced bones, the broken bones are repositioned before immobilization to ensure successful healing without deformation and loss of function. The realignment of fractured bone ends is performed through a process called reduction. If the...
