High Rates of Thromboembolic Events in Patients with Germ Cell Cancer Undergoing Cisplatin-Based Polychemotherapy

Extended low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) prophylaxis did not significantly lower the risk of thromboembolic events (TEEs) in germ cell cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. This study found no significant difference in TEE rates between extended and limited prophylaxis groups.
