Summary

A new web-based program, COPE-CIPN, shows promise for helping patients manage chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. It demonstrated good usability and acceptability, with a moderate effect on reducing daily life interference from symptoms.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the usability and acceptability of a novel web-based intervention, the Creativity, Optimism, Planning, and Expert Information for Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (COPE-CIPN) program.
  • To estimate the effect size of the COPE-CIPN on managing CIPN symptoms and their impact on daily activities.

Main Methods:

  • A cohort of 14 participants used the COPE-CIPN program.
  • Usability was assessed using the Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire.
  • Acceptability was measured using the Acceptability e-Scale.
