Foreign body reaction after trapeziectomy and Dacron interposition

Dacron interposition arthroplasty for trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis can cause severe foreign body reactions, including bone erosion. Due to these risks, this implant is no longer used, and patients require careful monitoring.
