Maternal Hyperleptinemia Improves Offspring Insulin Sensitivity in Mice

Maternal hyperleptinemia during pregnancy improved offspring glucose and lipid metabolism, leading to better insulin sensitivity and reduced nonalcoholic fatty liver disease incidence. This suggests a protective role for elevated leptin levels in developmental programming.
