Summary

Multigated acquisition (MUGA) scans using Technetium-99m labeled red blood cells can reveal bone marrow hyperplasia. This study highlights abnormal tracer uptake in the rib cage of a thalassemia patient, showing scintigraphic evidence of hyperplasia.
