    Summary

    Pancreatic scanning accurately detects pancreatic neoplasm and chronic pancreatitis. A normal scan reliably excludes pancreatic disease, especially in cases of jaundice.

    • Pancreatic scanning demonstrates significant diagnostic value for pancreatic neoplasm and chronic pancreatitis.
    • A normal pancreatic scan is a reliable indicator for excluding pancreatic disease, particularly in obstructive jaundice.
    • Further refinement of scan interpretation may improve diagnostic accuracy in complex abdominal pain cases.
