Do managed alcohol programs change patterns of alcohol consumption and reduce related harm? A pilot study

Managed alcohol programs (MAPs) significantly reduced police contacts, hospital admissions, and detox episodes for individuals with severe alcohol dependence. These harm reduction strategies also decreased non-beverage alcohol consumption and related harms.
