[Cell culture of human gingival epithelium]

Gingival explants were taken from 8 volunteers in order to find a method to grow gingival epithelial cells. We succeeded in what we regarded as optimal conditions in achieving a monolayer cell thickness in the culture by means of BHK medium and foetal calf serum.
