Can cyclist safety be improved with intelligent transport systems?

Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) can improve cyclist safety. Five systems were assessed, with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection System+Emergency Braking (PCDS+EBR) and Bicycle to Vehicle communication (B2V) showing the most promise for reducing cyclist fatalities.
