[Menstrual and reproductive functions in women with diseases of the central nervous system]
Abstract:
Assessment of the reproductive status in 200 patients with organic and functional nervous diseases demonstrated a high incidence of ovarian dysfunction. Mental stress was a factor, contributing to menstrual and reproductive disorders in many of those. Epileptic patients showed the greatest reproductive changes. A hereditary predisposition to the hypothalamic syndrome was demonstrated in some neurotic patients.
