Summary

This study compared semi-rigid and flexible embryo transfer (ET) catheters. Softer, flexible catheters showed improved implantation rates and reduced difficulty during ET procedures, though overall pregnancy rates were similar.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare pregnancy rates and procedural difficulty between semi-rigid and flexible embryo transfer catheters.

  • A randomized controlled trial involving 739 IVF/ICSI cycles.
  • Patients were allocated to either Frydman Classic (semi-rigid) or Frydman Ultrasoft (flexible) catheters.
