Transfer function-derived central pressure and cardiovascular disease events: the Framingham Heart Study

Central pulse pressure and augmentation index do not predict cardiovascular disease (CVD) events. Brachial systolic pressure is a better predictor of CVD risk than central aortic pressure estimates.

- Brachial SBP remains a crucial predictor of cardiovascular risk, outperforming central aortic pressure estimates in this cohort.
