Computerized tomography of the acute left upper quadrant pain

Computerized tomography (CT) of the abdomen is useful for diagnosing acute left upper quadrant pain in the emergency department. This study shows CT has moderate sensitivity and excellent specificity for identifying abdominal abnormalities.
