Relation between bile acids and myocardial damage in obstructive jaundice.

Obstructive jaundice causes myocardial damage due to increased serum bile acids. This study shows elevated bile acids directly harm heart mitochondria, confirming their role in cardiac dysfunction during bile duct obstruction.
