Gas permeable lenses--a growing trend

Due to the availability of gas permeable lenses, many previously unsuccessful wearers are now able to wear contact lenses. Gas permeable lenses allow more oxygen to be available to the cornea than any soft lens, thereby making it safer for both daily and prolonged wear. Gas permeable lenses provide better quality of vision, and allergic reactions to disinfecting solutions are eliminated, since these lenses do not absorb chemical preservatives.
