[CT of the lung fibrosis in progressive systemic sclerosis]

The CT findings of the lung fibrosis in 5 patients with progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS) were analyzed. The main findings were high density with decrease of lung volume, air-bronchography in the high density area with decrease of lung volume, and ring shadows in various sizes in the periphery of the lung. The marked decrease of lung volume was a characteristic finding related to alveolar collapse by fibrosis.
