[NADPH oxidase activity in evaluating the status of newborn infants]

The authors presented the results of studying NADPH-oxidase activity in the blood of neonates born to mothers with central endocrine disorders. The activity of the enzyme was detected in the blood and amniotic fluid withdrawn from the woman in birth. The relationship has been shown between the activity of NADPH-oxidase in the children's blood and their health status at birth together with a possibility to forecast the degree of the hypoxia-induced damage to the child in accordance with detecting the enzyme in the amniotic fluid.
