Abstract:
Infective endocarditis (IE) is an inflammatory disease of the endocardium and can be seen with various clinical presentations such as large intracardiac vegetations. The differential diagnosis of intracardiac mass is important to guide the management. Echocardiography is of critical use in the diagnosis of intracardiac mass. Herein we present a rare case with left atrial IE and a giant vegetation mimicking left atrial myxoma.
