Liver stiffness modifications shortly after total cavopulmonary connection

Liver stiffness significantly increases after total cavopulmonary connection in Fontan patients. Transient hepatic elastography (Fibro-Scan) can monitor these changes, but conventional interpretation may be misleading due to venous pressure effects.
