Apolipoprotein E ε4 does not affect cognitive performance in patients with Parkinson's disease

The apolipoprotein E (APOE) ε4 allele did not predict cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients in this study. These findings suggest APOE ε4 is not a reliable biomarker for cognitive decline in PD.
