Contraction Bands Are Induced by Cardiac Massage Itself

Cardiac massage during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can cause artifactual contraction bands (CB) in the heart. These findings suggest most CPR-induced CB are not true necrosis but massage artifacts.
