Tardive dyskinesia patients exhibit a significantly larger motor readiness potential, an electroencephalographic wave preceding movement. This finding suggests the potential reflects dopaminergic activity in the basal ganglia.

Background:

  • The motor readiness potential (MRP) is an electroencephalographic wave preceding voluntary movement.

Purpose of the Study:
