Epitope spreading induced by immunization with synthetic SSB peptides

Rabbits immunized with Sjogren's syndrome type B (SSB) peptides and double-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA) produced higher SSB antibody titers. Coimmunization also induced epitope spreading, suggesting a link between these autoantibodies.
