Abstract:
Paclitaxel is an anticancer drug which displays pharmacokinetic properties which can lead to therapeutic drug monitoring requirement. The most effective pharmacokinetic parameter seems to be the time during the plasma concentration is over 0.05 μmol/L. However, this target needs to be validated with new weekly schedules of administration. These reasons lead to consider the level of evidence of therapeutic drug monitoring of paclitaxel as potentially useful.
