Orthotopic Injection of Breast Cancer Cells into the Mice Mammary Fat Pad

Abstract:
The article deals with information concerning the peculiarities of diagnosis, methods of treatment, and prognosis of stage IIIa breast cancer in 219 patients. It is shown that stage IIIa cancer is a form following a peculiar clinical course which is characterized by localized, often hardly noticeable or moderate rate of growth of the tumor and a relatively favourable prognosis. The tumors were multicentric in one fifth of the patients and histologically peculiar forms of breast cancer with a more favourable prognosis in one third. Combined treatment with the use of pre- or postoperative radiotherapy or chemotherapy produces satisfactory late-term results.
