Cognitive functioning in children from Nigeria with sickle cell anemia

Children with sickle cell anemia (SCA) in Nigeria show poorer cognitive functioning, particularly in estimated IQ and processing speed, compared to healthy peers. Sociodemographic and anthropometric factors are linked to these cognitive deficits in SCA patients.
