Serum Serotonin Abnormality in Depression

Plasma serotonin levels in depressed patients improved after treatment with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). However, these serotonin changes did not significantly correlate with clinical improvements in depression or suicidal ideation scores.
