Alternative NHS funding

I read with interest the advertisements carried by the Sunday magazines calling for people to join the nursing profession. They paint an idyllic lifestyle and suggest that personal satisfaction and that wonderful feeling of having cared for someone will be the future way of life for you if you enter the nursing profession. Yet, we read daily that nurses are leaving the profession at an alarming rate because of low pay, bad working conditions and low morale.
