Commercial butane abuse: a disturbing case

The case report discusses a 16-year-old girl with a history of commercial butane gas abuse over a year. As the patient had collected the empty cannisters, it was possible to calculate the quantity abused which is not usually possible due to lack of co-operation and lack of evidence. Other aspects discussed are the mode of inhalation, accessibility, and psychological consequences.
