Summary

Resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) signals are influenced by vascular density. This study found that systemic low-frequency oscillations (sLFOs) in blood-oxygen-level dependent (BOLD) signals correlate with vascularity, suggesting new biomarkers.
