Summary

Endoscopic thyroidectomy (ET) is a safe and feasible alternative to conventional open thyroidectomy (COT) for papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC), offering better cosmetic outcomes. While ET showed a higher rate of transient nerve palsy, long-term recurrence and other complications were similar between techniques.
