Background:

  • Idiopathic myelofibrosis (IM) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm.
  • Autoimmune phenomena can occur in patients with IM.
  • Scleroderma is a chronic autoimmune disease affecting connective tissue.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To report a case of scleroderma developing after idiopathic myelofibrosis.
  • To discuss the association between IM and autoimmune diseases.

Main Methods:

  • Case report of a patient with idiopathic myelofibrosis.
  • Clinical observation of developing scleroderma symptoms.
  • Review of relevant literature.

Main Results:

  • Patient diagnosed with idiopathic myelofibrosis developed scleroderma 1.5 years later.
