Summary

A novel orange-colored bacterium, Sphingomonas prati sp. nov. W18RDT, was discovered in Tibetan alpine soil. This aerobic, Gram-negative rod represents a new species within the Sphingomonas genus, expanding microbial diversity knowledge.
