[Ocular immunotherapy]

21 patients carrying conjunctivitis and with negative evolution in their illness, were sent from ophthalmology consultation to our hospital's Allergology service. Later, this diagnosis was confirmed as an allergic conjunctivitis by inhalers and anemophylus fungus. At first, they were separated in two groups. One of them, with 14 patients, was put under treatment for two years with ocular immunotherapy. The other one, with 7 patients, was put under treatment for one year with placebo control. At the end of the year, this last group was joined with the first one and putting under de same kind of immunotherapy treatment. It was obtained successful results in 90.4% of the cases. The allergic extracts were dosified in Proteic Nitrogen Units. The immunotherapy was by means of drops. There were obtained conclusions and recommendations.
