[Bronchopleural fistula after pneumonectomy and its transpericardial closure]
Abstract:
The authors describe two cases of transpericardial suture of the bronchial stump after pneumonectomy which is the surgical method of choice in this serious postoperative complication. One patient died after the operation, the other recovered.
